12-02-08 After the failure of 37606 on the Network Rail Test Train at Exeter, 37038 & 37612 were sent South to help out. 37612 replaced 37606 on the Network Rail Test Train, while 37038 hauled 37606 back North. 37038&606 then recessed in Platform 1 at Taunton for one night before heading back to Crewe next morning. By this point 37606 had been fixed which makes you wonder .....was it all worth it?!?!.....At Taunton Trains we think YES!

23-02-08 66722 'Sir Edward Watkin' in Metronet Colours only visited Platform 1 in Taunton for jus to 1 Hour. This image was captured by Jeff Treece. The loco had worked a Derby - Laira stock move earlier in the day, and was returning from Laira to Wembley. The loco was stabled in Platform 1 waiting for a driver to come down from London by HSt to collect it!
