01-03-86 BR Blue liveried 47009 is captured in the now Platform 1 at Taunton between duties. Although corporate BR Blue was applied to pretty much all locomotives, some livery embellishments did creep in over the years. After being transferred South from Scotland, 47009 still carries it's Scottie Dog on the side. It would soon loose this though having been allocated to Stratford where their Class 47's would be adorned with the Cockney Sparrow! (Photo: Alan Randle)

47725 20-05-02, the loco ended up in here after working a charter bound for Minehead on the 18-05-02. However in the Highbridge area it caught fire!. It was towed to Taunton by the Newton Abbot thunderbird 47??? and dumped in the bay platform where it stayed for over a week! It slips my mind what came to pick it up. More details when known (Photo: The Creech Crusader)
